edoocoo Network Rules

Edoocoo is a place for the educational community to come together and celebrate the amazing work you are all collectively doing. It's a place where we promote a free exchange of ideas, and open discussion. We know that every now and then, these discussions may get heated, with other members posting and commenting on things you really do disagree with.

To help you deal with these moments, we thought it would be a good idea to create "Good Practice" standards, to ensure everyone behaves professionally (we know you will) and contributes positively to the community. These Network Rules set out the terms between you and us under which you may access our site www.edoocoo.com services, mobile applications, products, and content (our Website) and these guidelines apply to all users of, and visitors to, our Website. Your use of our Website means that you accept, and agree to abide by, all of these Network Rules, which supplement our Terms of Service which can be found at www.edoocoo.com and our Privacy Policy which can be found at www.edoocoo.com

www.edoocoo.com is a educational community site which is operated by Edoocoo Limited (we or us). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 08952416 and we have our registered and trading office at 4 The Woodlands The Grange, Hartford, Northwich, England, CW8 1GJ.

These standards apply to each part of a contribution made on or uploaded to this Website. The standards must be complied with in spirit as well as to the letter.

It's easy for some text to be taken out of context, so a few extra words can ensure the tone is taken correctly. It takes just a couple of seconds to say "Please" and "thank you", but they really can make all of the difference.

Edoocoo is all about creating an environment for educators where they can thrive, collaborate and flourish. If you think you can be of some help to a question asked, be supportive and help someone out.

This is super important. Always try to take 10 seconds to think before you either post or comment on a post. This is your professional community, and we want to you to shine, your words to be ordered and amazing and basically make you look like the educational superstar that you are.

Check, check and double check your words.

Think if you would like to read the article. Is it accurate? Is it too long, not detailed enough, or is the balance just right? Check it, and then upload.

If you do see anything that you think is offensive or in breach of these Network Rules, send us an email at [email protected] and we'll take a look. We'll look at what is being said in context, and take appropriate action.

We all get heated, but let's not even go there. Don’t threaten violence against anyone. This will not be tolerated at all.

Lets keep posts and comments within the boundaries of common decency and education. Respect the copyrights and trade marks of others. Unless you’re authorised to use someone else’s copyrighted or trade marked work (either expressly or by legal exceptions and limitations like fair use), don’t do it.

Don’t impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity to deceive people. Parody is fine, but make it clear that that’s what you’re doing. You may not use our Website in any way that is fraudulent, or has any fraudulent purpose or effect.

No porn. You may want to discuss the use of porn in an educational context, but please don't use any images. Just pretend your mum might be reading your contributions...

If we get reports of a violation of these Network Rules, we may send you an email and ask you to explain what you’re up to and why. If we decide, in our discretion, that you have breached these Network Rules, we reserve the right to suspend or block your account and/or remove or disable access to your content. Edoocoo is a platform for discussion and collaboration, but there need to be boundaries. We reserve the right to suspend and remove accounts or remove content, without notice, for any reason, particularly to protect our services, infrastructure, users, or community.
